Initial planning

Siting here recovering from my second operation travelling is seeming like a long way away! In reality in just over two months we will take our first flight to Ho Chi Minh City and begin our trip in Vietnam.

The trip in it's entirety
The idea to travel first came about when we weren't sure what to do for our honeymoon. We had the most amazing time after our wedding in a small cottage in the Cotswold's and decided to look into travelling the following year as a larger trip away.

In three months we will take 23 flights between 8 different countries and fly over 30,000 thousand miles.

Starting our trip from London Heathrow we fly into Vietnam, first stop is Ho Chi Minh City before we travel up to Hanoi and a night planned in Halong Bay. Next we move onto Borneo and have arranged a tour to see Turtles  and Oranutans among other eildlige. Leaving Borneo we then down to Bali and our last stop in this part of the world.

Leaving South East Asia we fly down to Sydney and after spending five days there we fly up to Brisbane, onto the Whitsunday Island and on to Cairns. From there we will fly down to Melbourne and then hop over to Tasmania before leaving Australia for New Zealand.

We will be three weeks in New Zealand, flying into Queenstown on the South Island and taking a campervan through the country and flying out of Auckland. From New Zealand we fly to Fiji for a week and then onto the west coast of America. Flying into Los Angles we'll drive to the Grand Canyon and after taking in the sights spend a night in Las Vegas.

From there we fly to San Fransisco and after a few days there take time driving the coast down to Los Angeles. We take our penultimate flight for a few days in New York City and after enjoying time in the Big Apple we take our last flight back to London in time to celebrate our first year anniversary.
